We're not thinking about one group of people may have had in their family lineage the opportunity to higher education since 1865, who may have never been a slave.
We view all these black people the same, and their world view is totally different than mine.
But their experience in America as it relates to institutional racism.
and white supremacy is the same.
But they had access to resources that what, that allowed them to navigate that system much differently than I.
And so the only tie that binds us, unfortunately, has been the institution of slavery whether these individuals were slaves, or not.
