Our clientele is so wide.
My name is April Ledoux.
I'm the director of distribution services at Chum Food Shelf, and we're here today to talk about the March Drive, our biggest fundraiser that we have all year.
(Noise) I've really been at the donations are low because the price of living is so expensive.
You know, I think sometimes we just forget to help those that, you know, our neighbors are the best that we can.
I'm Tina Breimon and I'm food distribution coordinator, Chum2Go, so I go outside of our downtown facility.
I go to high rises, food deserts, and I do a delivery service.
We have around 55 pounds per box.
Anything that we could think that would be good enough for one week's worth of food.
Just the overall need, is because, you know, people aren't getting as much food stamps.
People are losing jobs.
On our website for Chum, there is a little area for the March drive.
You can also just come in person.
We've had kids drop off lemonade stand money.
I was a single mom.
I was the mother trying to figure out how am I going to be able to put food on my table and pay rent.
Have gas, you know, do everything else and still provide for them the best that I could.
So this job is literally my heart and soul.
