Opioid use disorder has killed tens of thousands of New Jerseyans every year for the last several years. Recently, some medications have proven extremely effective in helping people who are addicted to recover and remain drug-free, but those medications are being prescribed only about a quarter of the time -- meaning that life-saving treatment is missing those who need it most.
