I play guitar and sing in Null and Nulging Null and Bulging are two long-running Birmingham bands in the DIY scene that share members.

And every once in a while, to break up the routines of either band, we do a special little project.

And this one came about the last time Bulging was studio recording their newest record.

Everybody in our kinda collective camp contributed to it, and I ended up singing lead on one song.

It's a hodgepodge of lyrics I had in my notebook that I didn't think made sense, but our friend, Dan, passed away around that time and I sort of made it make sense to be about him or just thinking about him, which anytime you're writing, I think just whatever major life events is gonna creep in, and that happened right around there.

And yeah, it sort of morphed into a song about him or just some big-brain thoughts about him.
