A visit to the New York Botanical Garden to see “Georgia O’Keeffe: Visions of Hawaii.”
Guest curator Theresa Papanikolas gives NYC-ARTS a tour of “Georgia O’Keeffe: Visions of Hawai’i,” which recreates a lush tropical garden in the conservatory, filled with the kinds of flowers and plants that inspired O’Keeffe to create some 20 paintings, from dramatic landscapes of the Hana coast and interior of Maui, to intense close-ups of bird-of-paradise, hibiscus and other flowers.
