Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Billie Holiday Festival celebrates Lady Day’s 100th birthday.
Among the highlights of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Billie Holiday Festival: vocalists Andy Bey, Molly Johnson, and Sarah Elizabeth Charles will perform “Celebrating Lady Day” at the Rose Theater; in The Appel Room, “Cécile McLorin Salvant Sings Billie Holiday” – a tribute by a masterful interpreter of song to this giant of jazz. Both concerts will take place on April 10 and 11.
