Mavis Staples at Alice Tully Hall on November 4th as part of “White Light Festival.”

A fixture of American gospel, Mavis Staples will perform music from her latest album, “One True Vine,” at Alice Tully Hall on November 4th as part of “White Light Festival.” Staples began her career in 1950 singing gospel with The Staple Singers. Recently she has moved back from pop and R&B-influenced music to a more spiritually focused sound.
