The New York Philharmonic launches the inaugural NY PHIL BIENNIAL.

Envisioned and curated by Alan Gilbert, the 11-day experience of the NY PHIL BIENNIAL will immerse audiences throughout the city in a kaleidoscopic exploration of modern and contemporary music. Concerts, panel discussions and more bring together an international roster of more than 50 composers and hundreds of musicians, ranging from students to legends.
