This Week at Lincoln Center: performances by “The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma.”
Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic and The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma in concerts that will celebrate the 15th anniversary of this innovative world-music ensemble. The program “Sacred and Transcendent” will feature “The Silk Road Suite,” which exemplifies the spirit of exchanges between cultures, and the tone poem “Death and Transfiguration,” by Richard Strauss.
