How St. Louisan Virginia Minor helped shape the women’s suffrage movement. After a battle with cancer, Caryn Dugan set out to improve her health and became STL Veg Girl. Graffiti-covered plywood is now on display at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. In 1948, Harry Truman stopped at St. Louis’ Union Station and held up a newspaper with the headline “Dewey Defeats Truman”.
