Brandi Bosworth is here with details.
Hi, Brandi, thanks for being here.
Earth Day time again.
- Yes, it is.
Love April.
- So talk about some of your special exhibits you've got going on during that.
- So we have so many guests coming this year to Earth Day.
Everything from Trails Foundation of Northern Utah to Ogden City talking about recycling and how to best utilize their program, to birdwatching.
And even the Great Old Broads for Wilderness will be there.
I mean, it's a pretty good array for the adults, and then tons of fun things for kids.
- Oh yeah, you've got lots of kids activities going on.
So what are some of the activities for kids?
- Yeah, so we have the water trailer coming from the U.S. Forest Service, which is one of my favorites.
It's filled with sand, and they do a demonstration of our waterways and how vegetation helps hold everything together, and it's super hands-on.
The kids climb up and get to play with all these pieces and parts.
There's a great puppeteer coming.
The kids love that.
And then just in general, like we'll have food trucks and dancing and lots of interactive things.
I think every booth is either having an activity or some fun swag.
- All right.
And I know you're gonna be doing a plant sale there with some of your vendors, waterwise plants, perennials.
- It's one of my favorite things at Earth Day.
Willard Bay Gardens brings a beautiful selection of waterwise plants that are ready to go out right now in April.
So their selection is just lovely.
Every year I always spend a little money.
- Well, great.
Lots going on.
So thank you for doing it, and thank you again for being here.
- Thank you.
- And if you'd like to know more about Earth Day activities at the Ogden Nature Center, it's going to be April 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Go to ogdennaturecenter.org.
