Many older adults want to avoid nursing care and stay at home for their remaining years.

Housing Options for Aging in Place (HOAP) is a collaborative working group in Buncombe County that is an extension of the Buncombe County Aging Plan. The group leads an initiative that brings together diverse stakeholders across multiple sectors to work toward a community where older adults have the ability and choice to age in place.
