Clip: 7/12/2022 | 6m 47sVideo has Closed Captions
What to know about the latest omicron variant and the wave of COVID-19 re-infections.
Chicago's COVID-19 rates remain stable and hospitalizations are low. However, city public health officials are strongly urging people to wear masks in indoor public settings in light of the highly contagious BA.5 subvariant. The subvariant is spreading across the country – causing many who have already had COVID to be reinfected. Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 are as contagious as measles.
