Oneida Tribe Remembers Lost Ones

The Oneida Nation held a ceremony Wednesday after a shooting at the tribe’s casino.

A shooting at the Oneida tribe’s casino last Saturday left two people dead and one injured in the hospital. The tribe held a healing and blessing ceremony with burning tobacco and prayers. The Oneida said the ceremony is a responsibility of the tribe to acknowledge the recovery and spiritual needs of the community.
