It's not just that your child has access to the world.
The world has access to your child.
You don't know who's out there.
You don't know what intentions they may have to your children or to the children in your care.
Prevent child abuse Kentucky.
We are about prevention.
As a parent myself, I have to be intentional about having these hard conversations about internet safety.
So we hope that these videos will help prevent, child abuse and neglect.
If we are trying to get at the digital age and we are trying to get parents and caregivers and everybody that comes in contact with kids and youth to understand the dangers of the internet, while also understanding all the good things that are on the internet.
We need to kind of bring it to them and make sure that we kind of meet everybody where they're at.
It's not just a matter of giving our kids a cell phone and saying, hey, don't do anything I wouldn't do.
Have fun.
I believe the shortest one is maybe 2 or 3 minutes long.
The longest is maybe 6 or 7 minutes.
How many of us don't just kind of sit on the couch or sit in our chair and just scroll for that amount of time?
So you can use that time and take care of your kids, or take care of your nieces or nephews or, grandkids.
What we're trying to do through these, what we are kind of referring to as these vignettes is to allow parents and caregivers in their little snippets of time that they have available in their very busy days is to give them access to information that we think will help them keep their kids safe.
Well, in addition to those videos, there are multiple pamphlets and even a coloring book available for download.
You can help get those online safety conversations started.
