A house subcommittee has approved a bill to allow clinical trials of cannabidiol. House Bill 2154 creates Katie’s Law which would allow for the use of cannabidiol for the treatment of severe forms of epilepsy in a clinical trial. Rep. Jon Echols said he became interested in the issue because his 10-year-old niece has seizures and has been diagnosed with Dravet syndrome, a form of epilepsy.
