Budget cuts hit another infrastructure agency hard
State lawmakers $72-million in county road and bridge funds to balance the 2016 fiscal year state budget. The cuts to the Oklahoma Conservation Commission are now estimated to hit at least $41-million. The agency maintains and rebuilds watershed dams. The dams are already credited with saving over $100-milliion in additional damage during the May floods.
