Law enforcement and its use of military equipment.

Even Oklahoma lawmen disagree whether they should be using military surplus equipment for local police matters. However, state records show since 1995 more than 15-hundred purchases of military surplus equipment has been made by Oklahoma police, sheriffs, state agencies, universities and a school district. Most of the purchases involved buying assault rifles and handguns.
