Oklahoma’s teen birth rate is on the decline especially in Tulsa County.
Recent data shows the teen pregnancy rate in Oklahoma dropped nine percent between 2012 and 2013. There was a significant difference in the rate of decline between the state’s two largest metropolitan areas. In the Oklahoma City Metro the teen birth rate declined by four percent while Tulsa County experienced a 20 percent decrease.
