A senate panel considers the impact of wind industry tax credits.

A senate panel is studying the impact of tax credits and incentives for Oklahoma’s wind industry. The Oklahoma Tax Commission estimates the incentives will cost the state more than 290 million dollars over the next four years. Supporters of the credit argue the incentives are a good investment, creating jobs and fueling economic growth. Opponents say the economic benefits are greatly overstated.
