Former commercial fisherman Tom Roth of VitaminSea Seaweed harvests seaweed all over Maine, from Rockweed, to Sea Moss and everything thing in between. Seaweed is found in all kinds of products: lotions, ice cream, beer to name a few. The deep, cold, nutrient rich Maine water helps produce some of the worlds best seaweed. Harvesting requires manually cutting by hand and loading it into the boat.
