Homeward Bound is fighting chronic homelessness with its "Housing First" model
Chronic homelessness is an ever-present issue in North Carolina impacting around 9,300 citizens every year. Veterans also are at an increased risk of homelessness following multiple and extended deployments. Since 2006, Homeward Bound in Asheville, has already made an impact by moving more than 2,050 people off the streets, out of cars, camps, and shelters and into permanent homes.
