The city of Paducah is preparing to welcome thousands of people who want to see the eclipse in person.
Paducah applied for and received a grant from the Simmons Foundation, which encourages research in math and science.
The city will use the funds to host a street festival in the downtown district called X marks the spot on April the seventh and eighth.
The total solar eclipse will be visible around 2:00 Central Time on Monday, April the eighth, and we'll bring you complete coverage of the events and festivities in Paducah right here on E.T.
