In 1966 Atlanta became the only American city to acquire two professional sports teams in the same year. Just two years later the St. Louis Hawks moved to Atlanta. But there was one player who “missed the bus” to Atlanta. Over the years Atlanta saw a number of players and coaches come and go. But when the Hawks were looking for a new head coach in the early 1990s, they turned to a familiar face.
