Filipino entrepreneur Illac Diaz founded Liter of Light in order to accomplish two things in his home country: provide light to those who need it and recycle trash. The organization teaches locals how to fashion affordable lighting from empty one liter plastic bottles. The "lamps" help families in need save on electricity costs.
