In Lessons 23 through 25, students apply their understanding of the properties of magnets to investigate the Phenomenon Question: How can we use magnets to design a solution to help astronauts in space? Students begin by defining a simple problem (SEP.1) encountered by astronauts in space, outside the International Space Station. Students then use their understanding of magnetic force (PS2.B).
