(upbeat music) Eve: That whole Bohemian scene was such an inspiring backdrop for photography.
- It's always a great reason to bring out the archives.
Cyn: It's always great to see photographs, beautiful photographs.
Eve: I was shy about photographing people, but I was in a community that I felt comfortable with and I love taking pictures of them.
I think mainly it was my love of music and mixing it with photography.
Cyn: Okay, so we got Dave Ray at the end there.
- Snacker Dave Ray and ... Eve: The subject matter in my community was excellent.
[laughs] And I loved photographing musicians and artists.
- and Bill and Judy, of course.
- Yep.
And they were like the all-star lineup of the West Bank musicians.
- I think my main expression of my experience was my photography.
- Look at Maurice Jacox.
- Maurice at the Tempo Bar with the bumblebees.
Yeah, they used to do that on the bar at the Triangle.
- Oh yeah.
I would just show up at people's house and say, "Can I take some pictures?"
Here's one of those days on Milwaukee Avenue with Prudence and Willie.
- Oh, that is a fantastic photo of those two.
- Isn't that sweet?
- Yeah.
- Yes.
Everybody was a friend.
