Standing here at King Street Station, you can almost feel the arrivals, the departures and the hopes that helped shape the city.
The neighborhood didn't just grow around the railroad.
In many ways, it grew because of it.
Inside, the station's legacy continues in a completely new form.
This is Station Space.
Home to Totem Star, the Rhapsody Project, Arts at King Street Station, and other arts nonprofits; filling these historic halls with youth music, performance, and community programs.
It's a beautiful kind of reinvention.
A transportation hub transformed into a launchpad for the next generation of artists.
Our journey continues to Railspur Alley.
These historic buildings once traced the path of actual rail lines and some of them are still here.
Believe it or not, this used to be a railway.
Now it's a community space called Europa for art, music and community gathering.
Let's see what else there is Today, with a little exploring, you'll find restaurants, shops, public art, and a beautiful boutique hotel.
An entire micro district dedicated to sustainability gathering and creative energy.
More rails and more art.
No, not that one.
That's a QR code.
You can download a map through it and learn all about the art and the artists, from railroads to re-imagined creative spaces to contemporary murals tucked away in hidden alleys.
Pioneer Square is proof that neighborhoods are not built just once.
They keep evolving just like the people who pass through them.
I'm Angela.
Thank you for exploring.
I'll see you.
