The whole concept behind this song was kind of speaking on the missing and murdered indigenous women.

There's thousands of women that lose their lives every year, the high percentage of them being indigenous.

Most of these cases are never solved or even looked into my local law enforcement.

So, they kind of just get swept under the rug.

I actually had a horrific tragedy happen in my family.

One of my cousins was actually missing and murdered in the Salinas Valley area of northern California.

And when that happened, I was figuring out a way to channel that energy in a positive way.

I really didn't know what to do or how to go about expressing this type of heartache and this type of confusion within the family.

So, I kind of just turned to music.

And, the song Tears is really like how I express that and try to channel it.
