Poetry Out Loud is a contest that encourages the nation's youth to learn about great poetry. This program helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence and learn about their literary heritage. Before preparation began for 2014's state competition, three teachers from Bismarck High School talked about why they chose to include Poetry Out Loud as part of their classes.
