‘POI E: the story of our song’ is a film about the New Zealand entertainer Dalvanius Prime, who returns home to Pâtea from the cabaret stage of Australia to nurse his dying mother. Upon his return, he discovers that his community is suffering from the closure of the township’s main industry, the Freezing Works.
