The Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Murphy for governor in 2017
The state’s second-largest police union announced it will sit this year out, not backing either Gov. Phil Murphy or his Republican challenger, Jack Ciattarelli. Union president Bob Fox said, "After reviewing all questionnaires and talking amongst themselves the legislative committee recommended to the board of directors to not recommend or endorse a Governor Murphy or Jack Ciattarelli.”
