The Ronald McDonald House started collecting pop tabs in 1987.

It's been going strong ever since.

We collect them and recycle them at the recycling center.

And we do this all over the place.

Weight wise, when you're collecting the pop tops, those add up a little bit faster.

There's not much as much air in them.

It keeps our spaces a little cleaner.

It's also a little bit more condensed, so we're able to store more weights at a single time.

And number two, they're a lot less gross.

That's that's why just the pop top.

The Upper Midwest chapter started the program in 1987 at the Minneapolis Oak Street House.

And it's going strong today.

It helps provide the services that we provide here.

This home was just opened in February of 2021.

So we are the newest and the Upper Midwest chapter.

We are partnered with Essentia Health, here.

So we're right across the street from Essentia.

And our house here, we take in a variety.

We serve families from NICU, PICU, Peds, behavior rehab, any issue your kiddo may have where they need to be in the hospital.

We're here for you.
