The Wall Street Journal reports Louisville based Humana is in talks about a merger with CIGNA.
The newspaper says the two companies are discussing a stock and cash deal that could be final by the end of the year.
Cigna's market value is now about $83 billion.
Humana is worth about 62 billion.
So a merged company could be worth $140 billion.
