I am a musician that plays all different kinds of music, but my passion really lies with acoustic, pop, and folk covers.

I was born and raised in Mankato, Minnesota.

I actually started playing and writing my own music when I was about 13, so I learned how to play piano when I was a little kid; I took piano lessons from my grandma.

Picked up guitar around the same age I started writing, I just wanted to be able to expand my musical repertoire.

So I picked up guitar, percussion instruments, like the trap set, anything that's percussion, band instruments.

I just kinda increased and started really workin' on my voice.

So the process of writing a song, it comes to me in a lot of ways.

Normally I'll hear like a singular word or a tune will pop into my head and I'll write lyrics around it.

The whole goal of my music is to tell a story, get a message across that can hopefully inspire others to make different choices than I made in the past or to convey a message of love and hope for those that may need to hear that.

I wrote it when I was 13 years old.

His passing is what inspired me to pick up a guitar and start playing the piano and writing my own music as a way to work through my emotions.

It's still my favorite song to perform to this day, and one that always seems to take the audience on an emotional journey with me.

I wrote is as kind of a breakup song from some of the choices I had made in the past.

I struggled for many years with addiction and have since started working a program of recovery, and I wrote this song "Run Away" as a breakup song from my addiction.

So as you guys listen to the song and listen to the lyrics I hope they resonate with you.

So whenever you're feeling some kind of heartbreak, you can help move through and get over that.

She helps me drive to and from all all of my performances, helps me set up and take down my equipment.

So the song "It'll be Alright" is one that I wrote with my wife in mind.

Our relationship was new and struggling, and it was difficult to do the long-distance thing.

But what she constantly reminded me that was with whatever ups and downs, whatever rollercoaster ride we're going to be on in life, it'll always be alright as long as we're together.

So I wrote her this song as a way to always remind her that whatever we're going through, whether we're struggling with finding or keeping a job, we have bills we can't pay, we've got 15 kids running around, and we just don't know what we're going to do, it'll always be alright.

I could be singing a sad song and seeing a whole room that was filled with drinking and laughter and stuff all of a sudden become very somber and as they're feeling the emotions that I'm trying to convey, and then I can kind of pick them up and take them to a new place to keep the night going.

Albums aren't cheap, and trying to do music full time has made it difficult at times to put something together.

But through some of the help and the connections of the music community in the Twin Cities I've been able to pull together a wide variety of different musicians to help me produce and finish all of the instrumentation for my songs.

That'll be released later this year, and I'm really excited for the world to hear what I have to offer.

I hope my music has found a way to help you get through whatever you're going through, to inspire you, to drive you and push you to be more and better.

Just know that whenever you're feeling hurt, alone, afraid-- you're not alone, and there will always be someone there to help you get through whatever you're going through.

It's one of the beautiful things about music is, it's a universal language that we can all resonate with at some point in our lives.

I hope that my music and the message that I have to share helped you in some way.
