Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipThe Brighton Beach Project is kind of a 2-part project, moving the road and also upgrading the park amenities here.
So right now they have just begun the shoreline reconstruction work.
So as climate change continues to impact the coast, the waves are doing some damage to the shoreline infrastructure.
So they're doing some reconstruction there.
So the project today is to get some volunteers and move the colony that is going to be impacted up here where we already have some some plants established.
And they're more likely to survive.
I think people are getting more about sustaining and keeping, you know, more Minnesota Gardens, natural things, even in their own yards.
So I think it's a good thing for all of us.
Change is always hard, but I think, too, if we can preserve, so people can see the lake, we're going to bring more people in to appreciate it.
More generations are going to be able to appreciate it.
Trying to keep native plants here so that they don't go extinct and everyone can enjoy them and keep'em in Minnesota.
