Preventing Youth from Becoming Disconnected in Person County

A unique workforce pipeline program targets youth as early as sixth grade.

Person County’s 6–14 Workforce Pipeline aims to identify students’ interests as early as the sixth grade and put them on a track to future jobs. A partnership between the county, Piedmont Community College and local businesses, the program offers students the opportunity to take courses related to professional jobs such as health care, agriculture and technology.
