I'm your host, Colin O'Brady.
I'm a ten-time world record holder, bestselling author, and professional explorer.
Top of the world!
Woohoo!
My passion for the outdoors helped me overcome the biggest challenges in my own life, and with the support of my family, I've learned that the impossible is possible.
And now each week, I'll be using those life lessons to help mentor two families, each here with their own deeply personal reasons, as they push themselves physically-- - [screams] Colin: mentally-- - I can't do it.

My family has came from the rock bottom.
We were homeless, we had nowhere to stay, you know, we had to live in a campsite.
Now we own our own business, we got through it as a family, and it just brought us all together, closer, stronger than what we ever were.
Colin: What's it mean for you to have your family out here?
Man: Ah, it just means a lot, I mean, I get to bring my family out here, show 'em leadership skills, hand out some things that I've learnt growin' up.
- You know, when thinking about this entire experience, what would you wanna take the most away from it?
- Just watchin' my kids, you know, take that challenge on instead of me havin' to step in there all the time, and I wanna watch us all come together and do it as a team.
That's what we're always tellin' our kids is it's like, you know, we came through so much, we don't ever take nothing for granted.
- I can tell this is a tight, cohesive family unit.
- You know, we run a business, you know, back at home.
Leslie: But it's every day, we are never off, it's seven days a week.
Boy: Kind of the thing that I wanna do in this challenge is to prove to my dad that I'm strong.
I want to be able to take more responsibility in our business, and to take more responsibility in general.
I wanna be able to work and do the same stuff that my dad is doing.

- This is an adapt and overcome situation.
We have to put our minds somewhere else, like a beach, in order to get through this.

Terrel: I grew up without a father in my life, and um, to allow them to experience somethin' that none of us have ever experienced before in our life, and to be right here side-by-side with them, it feels real good.

- Every parent and child doesn't always get along, but we always end up havin' fun in the end.
I wanna win, but I'm also looking to better my connection with my parents.
I believe that us bonding, you know, being able to communicate and work together, we'll be able to reconnect.
