Let's meet our players now.
Sure, thanks Christina.
A quizbowl match is made up of four rounds.
The first round is simply a 20 question.
Toss up round.
Each correct answer is worth 10 points.
Round two again features.
Toss up questions and if you buzz in and get one of those right, your team will receive four bonus questions worth five points each.
The students might confer during the bonus questions.
The third round is the Lightning round.
This is when I think things get interested.
The team that is behind at the end of round two.
Gets first choice from 3 categories presented by the quiz master.
They have 60 seconds to answer 10 questions for 10 points each, and if they get all 10 questions right, they receive a 20 point bonus.
Any questions that a team misses the other team can steal.
It's an interesting round.
I've seen a lot of games turn in round three, especially if the scores are close at the end of round two.
Round four is back to 20.
Toss up questions and since there is a lot on the line.
It can get pretty tense.

You've been a close watcher of quizbowl for a long time, So what can we expect to see from these two teams this morning?
Well, I think these teams are ready to go.
I think they are all excited and I think that it'll be a good match.
I know one of these coaches.
Pretty well, OK and he is.
He has been here several times and I think he's got experience now.
That doesn't mean Rogers is out of it.
Rogers also is well coached, so I think that it will be a good match, right?
Good coaching, smart students.
We're going to have a great match today.
Thank you so much and that means it is time to turn it over to our quiz master Steve Patterson and we will find out who will be the seven a state champion of Quiz Bowl 2022 Steve.
Round one.
Well, thank you Christina and we are back here in the studio C at Arkansas, PBS and the seven A state championship.
I know and then Governor Bill Clinton created the Quizbowl in his office of Academic Affairs.
I'm not sure he anticipated these two groups and their craziness, but that's all right?
We need some crazy in our world, don't we?
All right, we have the team from South side that you've met and the team from Rogers and they were representing that Northwest area of the state for us just as the two A did.
So at the end of these rounds of these four rounds, we're going to have a new state champion in seven days, so I wish both these teams good luck, y'all ready.
OK, we're gonna start off with our 20 toss ups.
All hands on our buzzers.
Here we go throughout this Dostoyevsky novel, generally considered to be his masterpiece.
Blue, Vivian crime and punishment.

The central idea of the work.
Identify this story.

Red John the Brothers Grimm is off.
That's correct.
I'm kind of with you.
I'm not sure that's his best either, but.
Alright, that was the answer and now we're going to go to a math computation question, so we're going to put 20.20 seconds on the clock and ask our teams to answer this math.
Find the third negative coterminal angle of 207 degrees.
Alright red Nick 153 degrees no.
Answers so blue Vivian 137 degrees.
I have negative 873 degrees, so let's go on to question three.
No harm or fall down on that question.
Here we go.

It's the Haber Bosch process.
So between the two of you, you got it correct.
If we were to give five points to each team, I don't know.
Alright math computation for the next, so another 20 seconds on the clock, solve for X.
9 to the power of the expression two X - 4 = 27 to the power of the expression X - 3.
All right, blue Vivian X = 5, no?
Rogers alright Nick X = 3 halves.
I have X equals negative, one negative one.
All right, moving on to question #8.

All right.

All right question 14.

Blue Sam that's right.
Holy, very good name.
The ancient Greek physician who can.
Rogers, John Democritus.

You weren't sure about that, were you job no.
Oh, I'm being told now.
OK, let me continue for fortunate Southside, who continues to represent the humane ethical aspects of the medical profession.

Final question of round one, what name was given to the NZ Alliance between the three Titans, Julius Caesar, Pompei, Blue Sam Triumvirate, more specific.
The first triumvirate, yes.
There was another alright.
That's the last question of the round, and and do we have any challenges?
We do have a challenge over here from the Roger side.
Do we have any over here?
OK, so we've got two challenges and what we're going to do is we are going to pitch back to Christina and Linda.
OK, Steve.
Thank you so much.
I'm going to bring Linda in here.
So first kind of explain how these challenges work and what you know about what's being challenged right now.
OK, a challenge is when a coach thinks that the answer his student gave could be right and he has to prove that with some material that he can find in a written form.
The other possibility is that he might think that the answer the student from the other side gave was incorrect.
Mispronounced something, so that's what's being challenged.
So both sides both sides are trying to.
Take a challenge and I'm not sure what it is.
I think that it might be on the question that.
That Fort Smith Southside answered with probability.
Maybe that might be it, and the other one might be a pronunciation by one of the students because it was first deemed right and then it was deemed wrong.
So we'll find out in a few minutes.
The judges have to look at the material to see if they prove their answer was correct and they must prove it.
They have 5 minutes to do the whole challenge.
Well for each one.
Yes, OK for each one, yes, and so I'm not sure.
Exactly what the challenges are, but that's what I think they are.
So with two challenges going on here right now, is that a potential for 10 minutes if they needed that much time?
If they needed that much time, it's up to the judges, and we hope that they don't need that much time.
We hope that they can rule pretty quickly, absolutely well because we have a couple of challenges going on.
We are going to take a short break and then we will be right back to let you know how those challenges worked out.

OK, so before we went to break, we actually had two challenges going on.
I believe one from each school.
What have you been able to find out about those challenges?
Well, I think the one from Rogers was about the Haber process at which the student answered, and so I don't know.
I'm not sure if that has been resolved, but I think it has.
And the other one was, as I said, about the student's answer of probability OK, and so that judges are looking at the material right now and trying to make a decision to see what they will rule, and that takes a little time because they have to look at the material presented and see what they want to decide.
And it really is up to the coaches.
That's right, they would.
They can challenge if an answer is misunderstood, mispronounced, or just a question about it.
Is that right?
Yes, that's correct, and the judge.
The judges will take material only from the coach.
OK, that's the only one and no one else can approach the judges to know about the answer because the the coach is responsible for challenges and then obviously depending on how the outcome of the challenge is, the points will be adjusted accordingly.
Yes, points can be taken away.
Points can be added and it, it just depends on the judge's ruling.
OK, so I'm going to ask if we are ready for that judge's ruling before moving on.
You have to go back to waiting on see.
OK, so it sounds like we are very close if not ready.
So to find out the answer from the judges to the two challenges that were just made, we're going to turn it back over to the quiz master and see if he can fill us in.
Steve, what have you got?
Hi, welcome back to Studio C Here at Arkansas PBS and we have two different challenges and they benefit both schools, so that's kind of nice.
All right.
The first one was from I believe from Fort Smith, where they challenged the question about.
Relative frequency and their challenge was that that's the same as probability, and so the judges agreed with that according to the material that the schools brought with them.
And so we're awarding a 10 points for that question to Fort Smith Southside the Blue team.
Alright, and then we had a challenge from.
Rogers where they were challenged, the idea that the Haber process is an accepted answer for the process being described, and the judges agreed with that.
And gave 10 points to Roger, so you both benefit and we.
And that's a great thing.
We made no substitutions during that break, and so we're ready to start round two.
Now round two, as it was explained to us early, is a pivotal round in the Quizbowl world where if your team gets a toss up, correct.
Then your team can confer on a bonus question.
So Vivian, if your team wins a toss up, I'll expect you to look at me and speak very clearly and ruin the same thing over here.
If your team gets an answer, correct?
Alright.
Everybody ready.
All right, well, I think we're ready to start round two.
All right, here's the first toss up question.
Oh, and by the way, I didn't announce her score, did I?
Because of the challenges Rogers has 80 and Fort Smith Southside.
60 so very close game.
And here's our first toss up question.
His first novel, The Time Machine, was immediately Blue Sam.
Well, yes, good job.
All right?
And.
You've earned your team a bonus called geography.
Vivian geography named the capital cities of the following island nations, Madagascar.
Defer to Jordan antenna nariva, yes.
I would have deferred myself if you'd alright.
Dominican Republic.
Santo Domingo yes Jamaica Kingston, Kingston yes and Brunei.
It's like Bandar Seri Begawan.
Yeah, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Yes, that's correct.
So all four correct on that one and see immediately.
Now we've had a little flip flop in our score as a result of getting that toss up and bonus correct, very good, all right.
Second, toss up for both schools.
Here we go from a Greek word, meaning it to hideaway.
Rodgers, round apocrypha.
That's absolutely correct, good job.
All right, and you've earned a bonus for the Rogers team that is called inaugural addresses.
So run, I'll get all my answers from you.
Identify the US presidents who made these memorable statements in their inaugural addresses.
Number one.
Ask not what your country can do for you.
Ask what you can do for your country.
Kennedy, that's correct.
So first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
That's correct.
There's nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America.
Reagan no, and with malice toward none with charity, for all those strive to finish the work we are in.
I couldn't hear any of that.
Johnson Johnson that one is Abraham Lincoln and the person who said there's nothing wrong with America that can be cured with that's right with America started our quizbowl program Bill Clinton.
So there we go.
But you got 2 correct, so good job.
Alright, let's see here we're going to do a math computation to try to win the next bonus.
So everybody with your.
Pencil in one hand the buzzer and the other hand.
And here we go.
We got 20 seconds on the clock for this given a pair of 6 sided dice, what is in lowest terms?
If necessary, the probability of rolling numbers adding to five.
Hi nick Nick, I don't know how you do that, but that's absolutely right.
All right, so you've earned your team about this.
And it's called art.
Or name the creators of the following works of American art.
Number one the Boring party spelled BOARING.
The Boring Party have no idea.
Go with Cole.
Cole no.
Rabbit judges that that first one is incorrect.
It should be the party, not the boring.
Ohh the first one is the boating party.
I still have no idea.
And some of these, by the way, are art, and some of them are literature, so that that's kind of a confusing category.
All right.
#2 rabbit run.
Dry Adams no the four freedoms.
Cold.
Cole no, and the Satanic Verses.
Plath no.
That one is Salman Rushdie.
It's actually a novel.
The boating party is Mary Cassatt rabbit run as John Updike and the four freedoms were painted by Norman Rockwell.
It's a tough category, but you got 10 points out of the deal, all right.
We've got one bonus remaining, and let's see who can get it with this toss up question.
This organ is found in all animals with backbones.
This compound gland discharge discharges digestive enzymes and secretes hormones, saying no.
Secretes hormones, insulin and glycogen.
Vital in carbohydrate metabolism into the bloodstream.
Blue, Vivian, pancreas pancreas is correct yes alright.
And you've received a literature category Vivian.
And in a few other riders of these well known short stories, Blackwater.
Pass OK, not that well known.
Was it alright?
The tail tale heart.
Yes, the luck of roaring camp pass.
And the celebrated jumping frog of Calaveras County pass, OK, that is Mark Twain, which you might have known.
But I see some strategy going on over here.
The lack of roaring camp was Bret Hart.
And black water was Joyce Carol Oates.
Alright, that was our last bonus question.
So are there any challenges?
We do have a challenge from Rogers, so we're going to.
Take a short break while we'd have this challenge.
We're going to go to Christina, I believe for some words of wisdom.
Sure, thank you, Steve.
Looks like we do have a challenge, so we're going to bring Linda back in to see if you have any thoughts, predictions, or know what's going on with this challenge.
No, I don't.
OK, I don't really know what's going on with the challenge.
I think that maybe the the viewers need to understand that on the second round you have to do a challenge of a toss up question.
You can't do a challenge.
Later, as soon as the toss up is red, you have to challenge then because that is specified in the rules because we wouldn't want to give you a bonus if if you didn't.
If the challenge was upheld and you ask for.
That to be reviewed, and it's just a way to keep the bonuses intact so that we can use them.
Now they can challenge the.
Bonus questions OK each one, and if something was wrong there then they might have a challenge.
OK, but this is the only time that they do that other.
Otherwise it's at the end of the route.
The challenges is that correct?
Absolutely, and this is a time when they have the opportunity to do a challenge of a bonus, but not the toss up.
OK, well, we don't know how long they're going to take with this.
They do get 5 minutes, but we're going to go ahead and go to break real quickly, and then we'll come back and let you know how the challenge worked out.
This month in passport on the PBS video app.
What's one of the best selling recording artists of all time?
William Steele.
The man who recorded the secret history of America's great slave exodus.

The torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans PBS, CBS.
So what's up cabasa my people?
Well, you know my name is Al Lopez AKA PP rap.

Phenomenal.
What you about then unbelievable.
I can't believe it myself.
I'm speechless, I believe this right here is the best.
That's some hot gossip for you, isn't it?
I love bringing other people together and doing something important.
How powerful is that?
Stay curious.
Yeah.
So a little bit of excitement going on here as we have a challenge and Linda has found out this is a procedural challenge.
Is that right?
Yes, OK, that's correct.
When the quizmaster gave a bonus question and said the Boring Party BOAR, that's what his paper said.
But that was a misspelling and it was supposed to be the boating party.
So Rogers is arguing that they didn't get a chance to answer when he said the boating party and they.
Would like to have something to replace that.
OK so it was fixed at the moment, but it's about the reaction to that fix so very curious to see what their decision is.
So let's get back to the quiz master and get the judges decision, Steve.
I welcome back to Studio C Here at Arkansas PBS and we had a question about the boating party which was in Rogers one of their answers for and evident that didn't make it clear that I wanted to give an answer for the boating party so that one's on me, but we're going to try to make it up for you by giving you another question on this, alright?
So remember that we were.
Telling who?
Painted or wrote?
Certain famous works OK, and here is your extra.
In cold blood.
Pote Capote is correct and so will award five more points to your team.
That's a good challenge, coach.
Alright, so with that said.
We are going to look at our score here and see that Rodgers is leaving by 10 and that means that Fort Smith Southside.
You'll get to pick first.
Are you making a challenge to us alright?
I understand we have a second challenge up here, so I will take a Christina and Linda break and let them speak to us about these challenges.
Around.
OK, thank you Steve.
So it didn't take long but we have another challenge and that's that's allowed in this in this round.
Yes, if it is about the bonus questions and I think that Fort Smith Southside was probably doing a little strategy here when they were answering their bonus questions.
They wanted to be the first one to pick.
The score was very close and so they made sure they were five points behind.
But because of the challenge that Rogers lot right, it affected Fort Smith Southside strategy.
So I'm not sure if that's what's going on.
But I think maybe that the coach is challenging what happened.
And again, that is all procedural and it really is OK. And part of it.
The strategy side of it.
Maybe you want to be down when you do certain things.
Yeah, especially when we're this close.
It's 1:05 to 1:15 right now.
So that's very close, very close, and I'm sure that they knew some of the answers to their bonus.
That they passed on them because they wanted to be behind.
Now I coached for 25 years and I know this strategy well because I used it with my teams.
I I.
Coach them to do that so that they could pick first.
OK, so you're very familiar with this.
It's a common strategy.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Just as with all strategies.
So it sounds like this challenge has been resolved, so we are now going to go back to our quiz master, Steve to find out what's going to happen, Steve.
Well, welcome back to the studios here at Arkansas PBS and we thought we had a challenge being made and I think it was discussed, but they're not going to continue with it.
So here at the end of the second round, Rogers 115, Fort Smith, Southside 105 so that means Fort Smith South side.
You'll get to pick first from our categories.
And then Rogers, you'll get to pick from yours.
Alright, here are the categories for our Lightning rounds today.
One is US presidents.
And it says tell what the seldom used initial stand for in the names of these US presidents.
All right question 2 literature identify the play in which these Shakespearean quotes appear.
I'd are.
You might want to choose the third category, which is called computer technology, and it says to identify each of these terms or definitions relating to.
Computers, OK, Now what we're going to do is we're going to give the two teams a minute to decide which category they want.
And while we're doing that, Christina and Linda are going to speak to us again.
That's right, Steve.
Thank you so much.
So let's talk about these categories first.
Do they know what the options will be and then how do you go about picking it so quickly?
Well, that's why you are given a minute to make your decision.
If you have that time, you can talk to all your students and you can see who knows why.
Now you probably know what they know, but you make a decision about who knows about their category and who knows about the other category because you want to be sure you have.
Somebody in there that could answer any bounce backs that come because that's how they steal some points is to get the bounce back so the one the other team missed.
So you want to be sure you have students who know both categories that are chosen, and so you substitute after the categories are chosen and the 62nd round is very important.
There's 100 points out there, and if you go through and get everything, you get 120.
It's hard to do, but some do it.
So talk about strategy from going to that second round, going into the third round.
What?
What changes?
What do they need to consider?
Well, they just need to consider what they know best and that's the thing that decides what they want.
They may have a category, there may be someone one of these with computer technology.
Now they may have a student who knows everything about computer technology and say OK, we're going to depend on him to give us the answers or her and then.
Of course I was an English teacher, so literature is very appealing to me, and so I would be sure there would be somebody who knew literature felt comfortable.
Say we need to take literature unless I had a computer expert, and then I might take computer technology.
But you know that it's a strategy to try to figure out what's best for your team and who knows what?
OK well, let's find out what categories they chose, and for that we go back over to Steve.
Hi, we're back for the start of round three and we haven't made any substitutions yet because we're seeing which what Vivian and her team has chosen.
You're gonna take literature, yes, OK, so let me write that down.
Alright, to ruin you hurt her picked literature.
What are you all going to pig?
We'll take computers, computers for them.
All right, Rogers computers now what we'd like today to do is take a very quick break and let these folks change their players out if they'd like to.
This month in passport on the PBS video app, it's difficult to fully conceptualize what it meant to be black in the government during that time period.
With priceless memories, what did people say when they saw you hauling around this big bag did stick out?
Yeah, it did stick out Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Reveal the real stories from the spies who risked their lives.
These and other shows from Arkansas PBS are available with passport on the PBS video app.

I live in rural Maine with my husband, flock of chickens, ducks and geese.
Hi, I'm Sarah Gallegos and I'm Angela Huffman.
At there's so much to learn, make sure you tune in for each episode of love of quilting.
Only on Arkansas PBS.
Well, welcome back and we're ready for the third round of play at a four.
This is the one we call the Lightning round and you get one minute to try to answer up to 10 questions.
And if you can get all 10 correct, your team gets a 20 point bonus for being so smart.
That she'd done that, so I wish both the schools.
Good luck.
We're going to start over here with the Blue team, Fort Smith, South side.
And give them these Shakespearean quotes.
You're going to give the play name when I give you this.
Are we ready on both sides?
All right, here's the first one.
To be or not to be?
That is the question hamlet.
Yes, all the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players.
Of March Julius Caesar.
Yes, if music be the food of love play on 12th night.
Yes, what's in a name?
Rose band of Romeo and Juliet.
Yes, all that glitters is not gold.
Merchant of Venice.
Yes, a horse.
A horse.
My Kingdom for a horse.
Richard the third.
Yes uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.
Macbeth no, we are such stuff as dreams are made on.
1st.
Midsummer's night's dream.
No Lord, what fools these mortals be?
Midsummer's night's dream.
That's correct.
All right, and that's all ten of those, and I have that they got 8 correct and that means we're in.
You can pick up 20 more points.
So at the two bounce backs.
You understand the category, yes, Sir, OK here's the first one.
Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.
Hamlet, no.
We are such stuff as dreams are made on.
The Tempest, yes, the one about an easy lies the head that wears the crown is Henry the 4th.
Into the forest.
All right now they did a great job on their category run and so it shall's chance to do the same.
Some of these clues are rather long, so I'll read quickly.
Hopefully not too quickly.
It says identify each of these terms or definitions relating to computers.
Are you ready?
Software installed on the computer that produces pop-up ads using the browser.
Is that malware bug?
Virus, maybe virus virus.
No circuit board inserted into a slot on the motherboard to enhance capability.
Sad.
Past alright hardware device used to transfer information between computers via phone.
You USB or USB.
No maximum speed at which data can be transmitted between computers on a network.
Ben one of the.
Bit rate no extension used by commercial organization.
Past and highlighted underlined phrase or word on a web page you Click to go to another part of the page or linkage.
Yes, portable device to store data to take from one computer to another USB.
No, on the last one.
Judges.
It's yes.
We're going to accept the last one.
Alright, there's lots of different things that can do that.
So alright, I got 2 correct and they've left five out there for you to try again.
And here's the first one Vivian software installed on a computer that produces pop-up ads using a browser blocker.
Yeah, ad blocker.
That's not what I have.
No, it's fine.
All right circuit board inserted into a slot on the motherboard to enhance capability.
Ram no.
A hardware device used to transfer information between computers via phone.
Cloud thumb drive no maximum speed at which data can be transmitted between computers on the network, and that's what I had bandwidth.
Bandwidth, bandwidth, yes.
I'd extension used by commercial organization.
Certain.
Server cookies and extension.
Cookies and cookies.
No, the answer was calm.
COM That's right.
OK, OK. And then the first one software you installed in a computer that produces pop-up ads is called adware.
Circuit board inserted into a slot on the motherboard to enhance capabilities and expansion card.
Hardware device used to transfer information between computers via phone is a modem.
And then you got the next one and then the extension used by commercial.
I gave you that.
That's calm.
OK, those were other long descriptors there.
So difficult.
Do we have any challenges on those questions?
None over here.
We do have a challenge from Rogers, so we're going to go back to Christina.
For their words of wisdom.
Alright, thank you Steve.
I don't have the words of wisdom, but Linda does and so we have another challenge here.
Any idea what might be going on?
I think it concerned the Shakespeare quotes from the plays, and I think there was a miss.
Pronunciation I guess you would say of one of the plays.
I assume that's what it's about.
I'm not gonna say for sure, but that's that's what I assume it's about.
And if there was something extra added or something not given, then it would be wrong and the judges would have to deal with that to make sure of what was said OK. And so boy, Fort Smith Southside really took a little bit of a lead there with those Shakespearean answers.
They felt very good.
That very comfortable with that, but a little bit of a different round when you have that lightning type speed.
I guess if you will yes and you have one minute to do them all and the computer technology it was long questions, whereas the Shakespeare quotes were not as long and that sometimes makes a difference.
But because you can't get to all of those in one minute.
If the question is long, so it's it's kind of hard to say how it will go.
But I think this is a very crucial round because things can change back and forth and I think that the then it makes round four very important because then you have 200 more points that are available and you have 20 questions, 10 points each.
So you can either go way up or the other team can go way up.
So this is a very crucial round to find out what.
To to what will happen and a challenge sometimes is very important.
This has been a close game all the way through, so I think it's very important that this is taken care of.
Absolutely it really has.
I want to know a little bit more about your own background, how long you've been doing this, and kind of what made you an expert here at quizbowl.
Well, I coach for 25 years and when the governors Quizbowl Association was formed, I was one of the founding members and I stayed on the board for about.
Eight years I was treasure for a long time.
All that time I would say eight years, which felt like a long time to me.
But then I continued to continue to coach and did it until I retired in 2010, and in 2010 we did win a state championship that year and the year before.
So I'm very proud of everything.
My students absolutely, and we appreciate your expertise and insights.
So thank you so much for being here with us.
It sounds like we have a resolution to the challenge.
So let's go back over to the quiz master to find out what the judges said.
Alright, welcome back.
We had a challenge about the pronunciation of one of the titles given by Fort Smith, where instead of saying A Midsummer night stream, they said a midsummers night stream and the judges have agreed with Rogers's challenge and taking ten points away from the blue team.
But it does mean that we need to bounce one over.
And since I've already given the answer to that one, then I'm going to give you the extra.
Question from that round or in.
Here is the quote.
Is this a dagger which I see before me?
The handle toward my hand?
Romeo and Juliet.
No it was Macbeth Macbeth.
Alright teams, do we have substitutions?
OK, who?
We're gonna take a quick break while we make substitutions.
This month in passport on the PBS video app, it's difficult to fully conceptualize what it meant to be black in the government during that time period.

At there's so much to learn, make sure you tune in for each episode of love of quilting.
Only on Arkansas PBS.
We are back and we are ready for the final round.
It's been a pretty close match so far, so let's find out who is going to be our quiz bowl?
2022 Seven a state champion, quizmaster?
Let's go back to you round 4.
Well, welcome back and thank you, Christina.
This has been an exciting game back and forth.
There's still 200 points left for grabs on these 20 questions worth 10 points each, so this is anybody's game, so that's very exciting.
What's more, Fort Smith has a little bit of an edge right now, but at the end of the game, who knows?
All right?
So good luck to both schools.
We've got our original starters.
I believe back in.
And it's good to have you all back all right, y'all ready.
20 more questions and we'll have a state champion and a state runner up.

Vivian Pierre **** that is correct.
All right, Rogers is calling 32nd timeout.
Each school gets one, and so we'll let them take their time out.
And as you just heard, we are on a timeout, so Linda back with us, they each get one time out.
Talk about the strategy behind.
When to use that and how to use it.
Well you use it sometimes when another team, the other team is on a roll, like if one student gets in a role and gets to answering a lot of questions, you call it to kind of cool him down and then in case the other team they might be behind and they might want to talk to their coach about strategy and find out if the students are OK or if they're too nervous.
Kind of settle them down.
And it sounds like icing the kicker in football, same kind of concept.
OK, well thank you so much for that.
Let's go back to Steve for more.
Alright, welcome back and it's an exciting game here.
Both teams are doing well and so I encourage you all to stay excited and keep being motivated.
And this is question number 36 in the round.
