Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship[Music] everyone my name is Raph and This song is called [Music] souvenirs ah hope but have no faith expect myen to erase I know that moment Shar are all why am I here what's my purpose in [Music] thisat why am I here on we are just strangers and their souven I smile behind the pain what [Music] for then asked to go smile some more what this game we play Life needs a scapat I use to take the blame why am I here what's my purpose in this EMP theater why am I here are we all just strangers and their souven I think I am sounds conceited can you believe it coasting up the hill I start to slow it's so you know how it goes what's the matter getting better smiling was the greatest actor in this show muddy water broken mirror maybe my reflection I never know why am I here what's my my purpose in this Ampitheater why am I here are we are just strangers and their souven I wrote this one alone actually just on a ukulele and it was a really interesting sort of development because I played it a certain way for a very long time and that was in a way the way I performed it today as I presented it to band members and we've been able to play it live it's taken a really full sound and brought out sort of unique and different sort of aspects of the song but I originally wrote it because I was walking around at night and I was looking up at the stars and I think sometimes people can look up at the stars and it gives them you know a sense of peace and for me that did not give me a sense of Peace looking up at the stars kind of was giving me dread in this moment I was asking myself like what is the purpose of really anything what is my purpose here what matters and I I wanted to write about that feeling and it was kind of an easential sort of sort of song that I think has ground in me though at times being like if you just take a moment and look around you know at the relationships you form and the people that are next to you uh that's really what's important
