Today, we're so excited to be able to celebrate and recognize Northern Lights as a high impact school, which was awarded by the DPI, Department of Public Instruction.
Winning this award was huge.
We had a very big celebration with staff.
Then last week we announced it to the kids and celebrated with the kids.
We had a we had a big party, we had an assembly.
Sparty, the mascot showed up... which is always huge.
And we were fortunate, our school board and we had district representatives come to school to celebrate with us.
I think we deserved it because we worked so hard of like getting good grades.
And the teachers were teaching us more.
So I think we deserved it a lot.
I think he had the best kids in the city that attend the school, and they have taken on so much pride for the work that they've done in school, and it's just a really a huge honor for the state to recognize and and celebrate the hard work that everybody has put in.
