Because we got a game to talk about and it's going to come up after we stop talking about it.
And what else has been going on?
It is the second semifinal coming up.
Man semifinal weekend.
That's just blows your mind.
It does blow my mind in the semifinal.
Double header.
Hope you're enjoying it.
Coming up in the midst of this double header roam for stars to file on green is one of the top defensive linemen in the entire country.
He's one of ten players from Georgia who are committed to Clemson in the class of 2023.
And later on tonight, in the next few minutes, he's going to be leading Rome's defense against that Langston Hughes high powered offense.
That's averaging 55 points per game.
But before he does all that, you'll see his conversation with our hand.
Good.
You know, first things first.
What's important?
You got to talk to Hannah before you play.
And that's what we've got to do here.
Lead story has to do with the Western frontier and a coaching change.
Things coming together.
It's a mary flip.
Ms. for the folks on the plane.
Yeah, we got a lot of flips, got a lot of commitments this week.
Let's start with this one.
And this is Deron Reed Carver, Columbus four star defensive lineman flips from LSU to Auburn.
He had been committed to LSU since July four, but then had taken five unofficial visits to nearby Auburn since then.
So the writing was kind of on the wall.
He actually made this flip before he freeze was hired.
Reed is rated the number six defensive lineman in the on three recruiting rankings.
Auburn now has the 11th ranked class in the SCC, and Reed becomes the highest ranked defensive player in the 2023 class.
Finished his career with Carver totaling 91 tackles 31 TFL and 18 quarterback sacks.
So from the Western Frontier and Emery Flynt miss.
Let's go to Gwinnett County.
Can you say Pipeline?
Pipeline Grayson's star commits to LSU.
This time it's sophomore cornerback Jalen Bell.
He becomes the fourth Rams player to commit to the Tigers this year.
Bell chose LSU over 15 other offers, including Miami and Florida State, committing just six days after the Bayou Bengal Tigers offered.
He joins Grayson 2023 star safety Michael Daugherty.
He's committed to LSU 2024 DB Zion Ferguson.
He's committed to LSU and former Rams star 2024 athlete Jojo Stone, who's now a huge he's committed to LSU as well.
I feel like I should do a Joe Dean impression when you're talking about LSU by Knowles.
Next story.
We're sticking with Grayson, but it's because of a decomp.
Yeah, this is three star senior edge rusher RJ Johnson Decommitted from Georgia State.
He had been committed to the Panthers back in August, but announced his commitment on Twitter this week, tweeting, quote, one in anywhere I needed that might be Northern Illinois.
Johnson will reportedly visit the Huskies next week in his original top five before committing to the Panthers included Georgia State, of course, Minnesota, West Virginia, East Carolina and Grambling.
State from Gwinnett to DeKalb, Illinois, possibly.
Now, that's next story.
Another DeKalb.
Another D copier, Shilo, three star corner, Bryce Pollack, Decommitted from Pitt Pollack had been committed to the Panthers since early June, but changed his mind a week after being offered by NC State told 24 seven Sports that Mississippi State was also in the mix, as was Indiana and Duke.
Pollack took an unofficial visit to Starkville when the Bulldogs hosted Georgia.
He has 32 other offers, including Michigan State, North Carolina and almost all of whom he took official visits to over the summer.
From Gwinnett County.
We go to the Southern Crescent for another decomp.
Can we say decomp?
Yeah, it's.
Decomp.
How many times can we say it?
We're saying it a lot.
Stars mill three star tight end Josh Phifer Decommitted from Liberty.
At least for now, six 5 to 25 senior have been committed to the flames since July and his change of heart comes in the same week that Coach Pugh Freeze changed his mind about liberty.
And.
Took over.
However, it sounds like he might still end up there at Liberty reading between the lines, it appears he's waiting to see who the flames are going to hire as their next head coach to see what assistant coaches remain.
He has ten other offers, including three other FBS offers.
Western Kentucky Air Force and Army.
Decomp is like the candy man for high school football.
Next story.
We got to flip.
A lot of it going around here in the month of December, Georgia lands a big flip for one of the faster receivers in the 2023 class Converse.
Texas Judson four star wide receiver Anthony Evans changes his mind on his commitment to Oklahoma and chooses the Bulldogs instead.
Evans had been committed to the Sooners since August but took an official to Georgia for the dogs win over Tennessee.
And that apparently is when the wheels were set in motion for this flip.
He had also been committed to Arkansas earlier in his recruiting process.
And so now for our final story.
The folks in Statesboro are going nice.
Nice pickup here for Georgia Southern.
It is Niceville, Florida, three star tight end Jaden, Michael, six four, 231 senior chose the Eagles over 12 other offers including UAB, who this week hired as their head coach.
Trent.
Dilfer.
He's a game manager.
Yes.
14 got a Super Bowl ring, 14 career games.
Michael had 21 catches for 205 yards and one touchdown.
He is the only tight end commit and the fifth player out of Florida in the Eagles 17 total commitments in the 2023 class.
So that's all the news in the top of the show.
We've got a game coming up once again after we stop talking.
It's one of the semifinals here around the state on this Friday night.
And it's going to be a fun one.
It is going to be a great one.
It's going to be the road wolves back in the state semifinals since the first time when they got upset by Warner.
Robins ended their.
40 game winning streak.
It's been a while, 2018.
And Langston Hughes, of course, they're back in the semifinals for the second straight year.
They've won 26 of the last 27 games.
Their only loss, last second loss to Buford in six.
A final year.
Yeah.
And so we got a lot of talent.
We could have a show on its own.
Here's a guy who is so great.
They name the high school after him.
Yes.
Bo hugely four star in ESPN number ten offensive tackle committed to Georgia over 21 other offers including Florida State, Auburn, Miami and Georgia got my vote for the GB all state team.
Two.
Years to fully have been committed to the Bulldogs for over 14 months has been not passed ins but has been here.
But Auburn has recruited him hard.
Oh yes, they.
Auburn has recruited most of the Langston Hughes school body, student body very, very hard.
They want those guys.
Hugh Lee, was it Jordan?
Here's pandemic ball guy come to Auburn.
Yeah, he was.
He was at Jordan Harris Stadium again a couple of weeks ago when the Tigers beat western Kentucky, along with another strong contingent of huge players.
But he says he's not going to sign even though he's been committed for 14 months, not going to sign until February.
Okay.
So that perhaps leaves the door open, gives some Auburn fans some reason for optimism, gives Georgia fans a reason to fret.
I think this is safe to say that this guy was also on our all state.
He was indeed.
Jelani Thurman, ESPN four star number one tight end in the nation, committed to Ohio State over 28 other offers, including his three official visits, which were Alabama, Michigan State and Auburn.
Spectacular talent that coach Daniel Boone Williams calls a unicorn at tight end.
He reminds me a lot personally of Eric Gilbert, who started Marietta National Player of the Year.
He's now at Georgia because he's he's too big for DBS to cover.
He's too fast for line matchup problem.
Yes, he is indeed equally as talented playing defensive end.
He's reportedly taken six unofficial visits to Auburn this season.
So he's another guy that could be on Flip once.
And I think you're someone else probably safe to say was on the all state team.
He is I think he's going to be.
We haven't released it yet, but he got my vote.
Safe to say.
Monty also got my vote for offensive player of the.
Year to date.
Four star on three recruiting number eight quarterback 27 plus offers including Auburn Arkansas, Miami, West Virginia and Vanderbilt offer.
And I ask you what has air not done.
Fire what's.
More important than.
Air fire, breathing water?
Well.
Right at 3600 passing yards, 49 touchdowns, four interceptions, just four interceptions.
That's a plus 45 touchdown to interception ratio.
He's completed 71% of his passes and he runs a Panthers offense that is averaging wait for it.
Wait for.
55 points per game, 26 and two as a starting quarterback and he is considered one of coach freezes top recruiting priority.
Now left he takes over the Auburn can drive 55 next stop how about a little love in the secondary for.
Star rivals number nine safety Terrence Love this is one guy that Auburn doesn't have to flip because he's been committed to the Tigers since April.
In fact, he's kind of been the Pied Piper leading all those huge players down there to watch Auburn all season long.
He committed to Auburn over 38 other offers, including Florida, Miami, Georgia Tech, 53 tackles, two interceptions.
And as Hughes goes deeper and deeper into the playoffs, he's playing more and more wide receiver eight catches, three touchdowns, 23 plus yards per catch average.
He will be playing on offense here tonight.
How about a target for air.
Nolan Here's another one, Robert C.J Locker at ESPN four star wide receiver committed to Jackson State.
Good over four.
Other offers, including Maryland and Colorado, has bounced back this season after missing his entire junior season when he suffered a knee injury in spring practice.
That cost him a chance last year to be on the field when the Panthers made their run to the state finals, took his official visit to Jackson State about six weeks ago, took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech back in April.
They nicknamed him SRT, as in Dodge Charger SRT.
Well, you just supercharged.
Yeah, well, you just hope he last for all because they're stopping production of those things.
And Horton hears from who they North Carolina.
Horton hears from the heels.
I got it figured out.
But maybe Miami.
Okay, but maybe Miami.
Two ESPN, three star defensive linemen, 32 offers other than the one that he committed to while his other two finals were UCF and Auburn.
But hey, Miami, creeping back into the mix here, took an unofficial visit to Miami in October with triggered a flurry.
He would pump 24 seven sports crystal ball predictions that he was going to flip to the hurricanes.
That hasn't happened yet.
He has 105 tackles on the season as a tackle that's hard to do.
Nine TFL three sacks nine quarterback hurries.
Have that football.
This might be the deepest and most talented defensive line in the entire state.
He's one of six guys on the defensive line who have 80 plus tackles in the season.
Fancy TV, graphic time.
And we could probably do this for a while.
We could we could make the whole show about Langston Hughes, but we're not going to for the fact, for the sake of brevity, will go with five guys here.
Amir Glenn rivals three star, six offers including Georgia Tech, North Carolina, UCF, 109 tackles on the season.
Dontrelle Glover Maybe the next.
Bo Culley Not quite as big as Bo.
He's 6329.
He's just a little kid.
Five offers, including UCF and Georgia Tech.
How about Jayden Barnes Under the Radar?
He has offers from Western Kentucky, James Madison and Tennessee Tech.
He has 34 catches for 968 yards.
John, when you do the math, that's over 30.
Apps on this show.
That's over 30 yards per reception with 14 touchdowns today, a will be offered by Nebraska and Morehouse, six touchdown catches and Jekyll Middlebrook kid to watch nine offers.
Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, FSU among them.
You'll remember.
I'll remember that he was the Georgia Cotton Commission player of the game.
And we saw Hughes right here on GPB five weeks ago.
And in the second half of the season, nearly 1300 yards rushing, 17 touchdowns in just half of the season.
Not bad.
Flip side of the visitors.
And we're going to go to the all name team.
Yeah, this guy is on the all name teams to file in Green Island Green for star on three recruiting number seven lineman committed to Clemson over 23 other offers including Georgia and Ohio State.
So are you serious?
Yes.
Serious, serious.
Serious here about this recruiting?
Yes.
Coach John recalls of explosive, powerful, very twitchy, some four or five speed in the 44.
Five sub yeah defensive lineman.
Likely in in the three four defense another in a long line of great defensive linemen who played for read it from 59 tackles 13 to fill ten quarterback sacks even has two interceptions part of an impressive Clemson 2023 class of Georgia high school players.
We'll talk more about them in a moment, includes Vic Burley, who's a top two defensive lineman in the state.
They're both going to call it.
Flip side of the ball in Martavis column.
Yeah.
Junior four star ESPN number five I do same.
Route.
Headed to Bama over 17 other offers including Auburn you will see him playing all over the field tonight.
We'll even pop over on the defensive side of the ball play some D in future is likely as a more traditional attached tied in at the next level or lining up in the backfield at the sniper position.
After each back.
Thank you.
Could be really a good night for the wolves if he's a big time factor in the passing game tonight could spell success for the wolves.
So how about some height in the secondary?
This guy too is a two way star.
Martel Height ESPN four star corner committed to Vandy after originally committed to Louisville over four other offers got the speed to match up with this talented Hughes team, which is like a track team will play major snaps on both sides of the ball.
Coach Re believes that he could be a difference maker for his team tonight.
34 catches team leading ten touchdown receptions also has three interceptions, two block kicks and three defensive touchdown this season.
A couple of other guys that you have in your full screen spot, Shadow.
Alto Moore.
Hit the high notes for you at linebacker.
He will.
And the low notes he'll hit all the notes Hit, hit, hit anything that moves he's there leading tackler 92 tackles 55 solo ten TFL two giant offers include Michigan State Georgia State and Liberty.
Reese Fountain, their quarterback offered by Georgia, Southern Sanford and Simo, got better after the team's only loss this season, which was to Carrollton, which by the way, is in the seventies.
I've heard I caught up with Cowley 29 yards past 2900 yards passing, pardon me, 28 touchdowns, just four intercepts and hasn't shown dual threat quarterback ability this season.
But Coach Reid says like his former quarterback Knox Keenum, who led them to state championships through, he has the ability to do it.
And Justin J.T.
Terrell junior edge rusher he blindly lines up inside plays nose for roam right now offered by liberty he was the game MVP last week in the Wolves quarterfinal win over Marist.
What you said and we're officially in I know dilly dally zone so we're going to get right to it Time to catch up with the all name team.
Time to catch up with the interview with the stars, Hannah Gooden and to file in green.
Hey, guys.
Today I am joined by Rome senior defensive lineman Steph Ireland Green.
Steve Ireland, thank you so much for joining me today.
Thank you.
You had two dozen offers, including finalists.
Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, Ole Miss.
But you ultimately decided to commit to Clemson.
Why did you choose the Tigers terminology?
The official visit in June.
And I just fell.
It just felt like home.
Only being on education is done like that are always a finalist.
So.
So I knew and my mom my mom already wanted me to go there and when we couldn't build it.
So when it comes to education, what do you plan to study?
Probably engineer, mechanic, man, mechanic.
So smart.
Smart kid, too.
So you joined offensive lineman Vic Burley and linebacker Jamal Anderson in the 2023 Clemson class.
All top defense have prospects out of the state of Georgia.
What attracted you out of state?
Well, Clemson Clemson was my like my last answer.
It was my last.
And it was big.
It was big on education.
Everybody else was offering me about just couldn't wait.
Really checking in on the education part.
And Clemson made sure my education was was high enough for them.
So so I like that.
So that's why I personally went with Clemson.
Well, the Smarts is very evident.
What kind of player is Clemson getting in?
You are working, playing a determined player, smart players in Alabama all around type player.
So the Tigers are looking to replace a lot of talent on the defensive front.
What is head coach Dabo Swinney and Company said to you about next season?
They will build something great not and I've been seeing it in stars now games.
I went to a couple of games and I like what I saw.
So any talk about I'm gonna have a little office baggage too, so.
So that's going to be fun.
You still have some unfinished business to do before you leave high school.
You're playing in the semifinals against Langston Hughes this week.
What is it going to take to get past them and head to the championship game?
I feel like day after the offense is pretty good.
That's that's why they need winning games.
But I say, like, I feel like our defense and and our confidence in each other, we're going to be we're going to be good.
I feel like our defense can hold up.
Is that is that the run and pass and the pressure's on a QB start stop them when they go.
With the season winding down, looking back on your senior year, what are you most proud of.
On where we play?
The answer is we've been practicing since January, so a lot of hard work has been played and it is the coaches coach re all coach has and how to stamp their lives that we do in our work and so so we built this so you know.
Where else to violate it.
Good luck in the semifinals and your future at Clemson.
We cannot wait to watch you continue your football career.
Thank you so much for your time today.
I thank you for having.
So they're getting all the above.
I like that kid.
I like his personality and can't wait.
Like Hannah said, I can't wait to see him play the next level.
Clemson got him a good one.
They got a lot of good ones out of the.
State of Georgia in the bowl when you got a coaching staff that's plugged in the way that it is.
Yeah, that's what's going to happen.
All right.
Once again, no delay.
No delays.
And we're just going to go ahead and win it up and finish it up with May.
That can offer.
That can an offer.
We got a lot of them to wrap it up this week.
All right.
So who's first on the list?
Oh, first on the list.
We go to Walton High School.
Let's do it.
Hit it.
Let's show him this.
Make that kid an offer.
We start with Walton running back.
McCaffrey Bottesford rushed for 113 yards, 21 carries in the Raiders, 5227 quarterfinal loss in Carrollton last week on GPP finishes, junior year 1587 rushing yards, 20 touchdowns, seven 100 yard rushing game does have an offer from UMass.
You know what?
That kid needs more offers.
Make the car, but offer more.
Offers.
Next stop, one of the teams we're going to see in a bit.
Yeah, Langston Hughes Center.
Aiden Watkins played on the defensive side of the ball last couple of years.
See him demolish the quarterback there, 70 sided tackle.
And now his job is to protect the quarterback.
His uncle is offensive line coach Brooks Watkins, who played 96 and in the NFL.
Aiden Watkins, make it.
You make him an offer Baldwin County's next up go.
To senior running back Jalen Poe ended the season 17 scoring leader 22 touchdowns 1500 total yards had a big game against Kennesaw State has no offers Jalen Poe.
Back hit it off Kennesaw Mountain First time Bethlehem Christian Academy.
Yeah Joshua Adams Career stats 2844 Rushing yards, 41 touchdowns 60 tack.
Look, Joshua Adams.
Made that kid an offer next stop, Ellisville in Slide County and.
Carson Westbrook's 11 Career Interceptions 12 PB Youth 133 Tackles 4.0 GPA make Carson Westbrook an off.
What he said Darren Alford is the head coach down there They're in a semifinal next stop, Alexander.
And Jayden McCoy running back 344 receiving yards, 37 catches, four touchdowns, hard working team player Jayden McCoy making.
An offer go to Cedar Shoals and Athens.
What's up, Isaiah Mitchell?
Career stats 55 tackles nine TFL two and a half sacks plays for the Jags of Cedar Shoals.
NASIR Mitchell make that killing off.
What he said then Maynard Jackson.
Jackson He was a great mayor and they've got a great offensive lineman.
Irshad Rembert Region 65a second team all-region last year this year he's first time and he says he likes watching football.
Guess what Irshad so good yes Irshad Rembert make that kid an off.
So we're going to follow Hassan's advice and watch some football because we've got the second semifinal up now.
