(upbeat music) Mary Dickson: Red Butte Garden's Annual Fall Bulb and Native Plant Sale is right around the corner where you'll find spring flowering bulbs, organic garlic bulbs, native and water-wise plants, and a lot more.

And here with all the details is Horticulture Program Coordinator, Crystal Kim.

Hi Crystal, welcome.

- Hi.

- Okay, this is always one of the favorite activities to do to get to Red Butte.

So what kind of spring bulbs are you going to have?

- We have a big variety of things like daffodils, fritillarias, ornamental onions, and lots of really neat early blooming miniature bulbs.

- Okay, and the garlic bulbs.

You've got those too?

- Yeah.

- And they spread.

- They do.

(Mary Dickson laughing) But if you're a garlic lover, that's probably a good thing.

- (laughs) I'm always pulling out the extras.

(Crystal Kim laughing) Okay, and what native plants will you have?

Like what native plants should we all be planting?

- Oh, there's so many to talk about.

I don't think we could cover everything, but there's a lot of really cool things that are hard to find that we'll have there.

We have the best selection in one place of native and water-wise plants.

- Okay, and we all need to be doing a whole lot more of that.

- [All] Yeah.

- And you've got ornamental grasses as well?

- We do.

For those who are looking to add some fall interest to their garden, ornamental grasses are really great idea, and we'll have a lot of fall blooming perennials as well, so.

- Okay, alright.

I like the fall blooming perennials.

So what kinds?

So I'll know what to look for.

- Oh, let's see.

And Japanese anemones, plumbago, chrysanthemums and asters.

There's there's a lot of really neat things.

- A lot, a lot.

All right, and I think this is great because it's free if you're going to the plant and bulb sale.

- That's correct.

- So, and where do people enter?

The amphitheater area?

- Yeah, it's free entry through the amphitheater gates, and we have all the information on our website about where to park and how all that works.
