And it was given to Nat King Cole by Eden Ahbez.
They had to find him though.
He was in the woods, he was a naturalist, and he left the song for Nat Cole.
But Nat Cole was playing, performing at the time.
So we left it with his Porter, as I was telling them, and they had to find him to get the rights to the song.
And that's one of Nat king Cole's favorite famous tunes called Nature Boy.
Which we're gonna do now.
* There was a boy * A very strange enchanted boy * They say he wandered very far, very far * * Over land and sea * A little shy and sad of eye * But very wise, very wise was he * * And then one day * When summer day passed my way * * And as we spoke of many things * * Fools and kings * This he said to me * The greatest thing you'll ever learn * * Is just to love and be loved in return * (upbeat jazz music) * There was a boy * A very strange enchanted boy * They say he wandered very far * * Very far over land and sea * A little shy and sad of eye * But very wise, very wise was he * * And then one day * One summer day he passed my way * * And while we spoke of many things * * Fools and kings * This he said to me * The greatest thing that you will ever learn * * Is just to love and be loved in return * (scat singing) * There was a boy * A very strange enchanted boy * They say he wandered very far * * Very far over land and sea * A little shy and sad of eye * But very wise, very wise was he * * And then one day * One summer day he passed my way * * And as we spoke of many things * * Fools and kings * This he said to me * The greatest thing that you will ever learn * * Is just to love and be loved in return * * The greatest thing that you will ever learn * * Is just to love and be loved in return * (scat singing)
