A state budget deal was struck Monday night behind closed doors. Lawmakers on the Assembly and Senate committees voted on the $50.6B budget less than 30 minutes after it was revealed to the Legislature for the first time. Frustrated members -- particularly GOP -- say the process lacked transparency. The new budget is set to go into effect July 1. Final votes on it are set for Wednesday.
