Rabbi Joseph Potasnik reflects on celebrating Rosh Hashanah at Ground Zero days after the terrorist attacks, the spirituality of firefighters, the persistent presence of hate, and the importance of overcoming divisions. Potasnik leads Congregation Mount Sinai in Brooklyn Heights. He is also executive vice-president of the New York Board of Rabbis and a chaplain for the Fire Department of New York.
