Parents group urges Gov. Murphy to allow remote learning

More families have increasingly turned to homeschooling.

Despite the latest wave of COVID-19 infections in NJ, Gov. Murphy is not backing down from his position to return students for full-time in-person learning this fall, with no option for remote learning. Late last week, however, the DOE circulated new guidance for districts, asking educators to prepare for the likelihood that some students will need to quarantine and require virtual instruction.
