State Lawmakers May Let Local Voters Decide on Rent Control

A new bill would let voters decide if they want to lift the state's ban on rent control.

A bill working its way through the general assembly would give cities and towns the chance to hold a referendum vote on whether their municipality should allow rent control. More with Michael Glasser of the Neighborhood Building Owners Alliance and Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez of Chicago’s 25th Ward.
