Murphy pushes for Reproductive Freedom Act in NJ

Gov. Phil Murphy is hopeful the bill can pass by June.

After the United States Supreme Court this week agreed to hear a case from Mississippi that bans most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. That court’s willingness to take the case has prompted pro-choice advocates and Democratic state leaders in New Jersey to ramp up their call for the legislature to pass the Reproductive Freedom Act introduced last year.
