House Speaker David Osborne and Senate President Robert Stivers both spoke to the Lexington Herald-Leader yesterday after the Kentucky Chamber's legislative preview conference.
The abortion ban and the absence of exceptions for rape and incest was a major issue during the governor's race, Speaker Osborne told the newspaper.
There is some interest in adding those exceptions among Republicans in the House.
Senator Stivers said he expects a discussion about it among the 31 Republicans in the state Senate.
